Mr Monkey visits the Museum in Docklands, 17th May

"It's a very good museum, you know"

Looking around the New Port, New City gallery Mr Monkey studied the post war decline and regeneration of the docklands area that led to the Canary Wharf development. This involved conflict between London Docklands Development Corporation and the people living in the area. Mr Monkey studied pictures of the new public transport systems for the area - the Docklands Light Railway and the Jubilee Line extension - and then left the museum. He stopped to buy souvenirs on the way out, though.
