Mr Monkey visits the Cathedral of St. Vitus, 11th June

"It's very shiny, you know"

Mr Monkey trotted slowly around the apse, looking at the altarpieces in the small chapels. He really couldn't avoid St John Nepomuk's enormous tomb, as it's made out of 1680 kg of silver and looks a little like a saint standing on a giant soup tureen. It was made by Fischer von Erlach the Younger in 1736 and Mr Monkey was interested to see that he'd included a bas-relief of the saint being thrown off the Charles Bridge.
