Mr Monkey goes from Quay to Sea, 14th December

"Apparently that's a Peter Pan class cruiseferry"

As he passed the entrance to the Willington Quay marina Mr Monkey had the definite impression that something overly dramatic was happening, but it turned out to just be one small boat with a smoky, but functional, engine. A litte further on he saw the DFDS Seaways ferry King of Scandinavia waiting to take people to Ijmuiden in the Netherlands. When the ferry was built in 1987 it was called the Nils Holgersson.

You can read about the ferry at the DFDS Seaways website.
