Mr Monkey walks the walls of Chester

"That looks like it could be a lot of work going through those locks"

Next to the Goblin Tower, Mr Monkey peered down through the trees to see a staircase of three locks on the Shropshire Union canal. The people in the narrowboat Mr Monkey had seen near King Charles' Tower were putting a lot of effort into getting their boat through the locks. A little further on, he saw the point where the canal turns sharply into Tower Wharf Basin.

You can read about the Shropshire Union Canal at the English Waterways website and at the Canal Junction website.
