Mr Monkey in London, January 10th

"Who would live in a house like this?"

The route took Mr Monkey more or less back to its start. Across the road from Farringdon station, he passed the Castle pub. This was granted a pawnbroker's licence by George IV when he was going to a cockfight nearby. After going past the station and turning right, Mr Monkey had a quick look at an interesting house on the corner of Britton Street. This was designed for Janet Street-Porter by Piers Gough, but she seems to have moved out in 2001.
