Mr Monkey visits Het Gravensteen, September 16th

"Let's have a look at the Counts' castle"

The Gravensteen was built on top of a 9th century castle at the end of the 12th century, because Philip of Alsace wanted to show the people of Ghent that he was boss. Mr Monkey scampered into the fortress to see the seat of the Count's power.
